Introducing Journey’s Upper Elementary Teacher!
My name is Nicole Kreuter and I am so excited to be jumping on board as the new 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade teacher at The Journey! Teaching is an absolute passion of mine and I am thrilled to be working with you and your child. It is going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures, a true journey!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Erich. We will be celebrating eighteen years of marriage this summer. We have three amazing children; Caleb is 13, Ellison is 11, and Nolan is 8. They attend Middlebury Public Schools, go Raiders! My boys currently swim for NASA and my daughter is a silver gymnast. They take up most of my free time, but I love traveling, playing games, and reading. We also have a new puppy, Sydney, and eight chickens that keep us busy.
I have six years of teaching experience in a Pre-K classroom at LIFE Preschool. Before having children, I taught for five years in 5th grade in Three Rivers, Michigan. I attended Western Michigan University where I received my teaching degree. I grew up in a family of teachers, so it has been in my blood since birth. My mom currently teaches 3rd grade in Michigan and we are excited to be teaching in the same age group for the first time.
My decision to join The Journey was not something I took lightly. It was a decision that I spent much time praying over. I truly believe that God has called me into this position and has been preparing me for it for some time. The core beliefs of The Journey align perfectly with my philosophy of education. I am looking forward to meeting all of you before school starts and can't wait for a great school year.
