Joan Schulz
Introducing Journey's Assistant Teacher
We have added Joan Schulz to our staff to serve in role of teacher’s assistant. She will be assisting the teachers during class time, helping students one on one or in a small group setting, as well as other things that may arise throughout the course of the school day.
Mrs. Schulz comes to us after having retired from Elkhart Community Schools having taught
kindergarten, third, and fourth grades in her 32 years there. Feeling the call the stay in the field of education, she is excited to be able to work with your children in a variety of capacities, and be able to share her love for Christ.
Outside of school Mrs. Schulz enjoys spending time with her family – her husband, Dwight, her son, Drew, her daughter, Lauren, and their new rescue puppy, Axle. Besides spending time with family, she likes to read, garden, go to the beach, and travel.
