At The Journey we have set out with the simple goal of raising happy, Christ-centered children. We provide an engaging mastery-based, literature-rich program that emphasizes knowledge retention over simple memorization in a child-led and dynamic learning environment. We hold fast to Biblical principles and believe that the truth of Christ should be interwoven into our daily routine. Our goal at The Journey is to teach children to know and walk in step with Christ while receiving a hands-on, dynamic education that sets them up for success later in life by teaching them to be self confident, independent thinkers with a variety of skills and abilities to help serve Christ and their communities and provide personal happiness for themselves.
A micro-school is a modernized one-room schoolhouse, with mixed-age classrooms and small class sizes. Free from mandated curriculum, government bureaucracy and standardized tests, a micro-school is akin to outsourced homeschooling.
Students spend each day in an immersive learning experience, split between the outdoors and a hands-on, active classroom environment. Our student-led learning model, and small class sizes, ensure that every student is met with individually leveled material.
